Personal Fitness Is A Never-Ending Journey
First off I want you to all know that I’m NOT your stereotypical personal fitness guy in one very relevant way – I know how it feels to not be in shape. All too well. This is a problem I have had to correct several times in my life.
So I know how it feels when you don’t like the way you look. How it affects your confidence. How it significantly impacts your self esteem, which, in turn, affects your social life. Your romantic life.
I also know how it feels when poor eating and lifestyle choices lead to very uncomfortable levels of stress and anxiety. Which can lead to more poor dietary and lifestyle choices in hopes of a release or state change. Which leads to more stress and anxiety… I know how it feels to not fit in your suit for the holidays. Or 80 percent of your wardrobe for that matter!
I know how your personal fitness goals can seem so far away that they just don’t seem possible and you start to rationalize – “well I’d be ok if I just lost a few pounds…” or set yourself up for failure – “what’s one more day? I’ll just workout extra hard and eat extra well starting tomorrow.”
Oh yes, I know the slippery slopes and the mind games that we play with ourselves. And I know the quiet discontent that we feel when we aren’t living life as the person that we really want to be. And how it can turn into a burning, nagging pain that deeply needs to be itched.
