When most of our clients decide to take control of their health and to workout, they don’t know exactly where to start. If this is you, don’t worry. It’s normal.

This myth is all over the place these days, but you need to avoid it. I bought into these myself so don’t feel bad.
The truth is that this approach rarely works because your body wasn’t capable of handling the physical abuse.
This may be a bit of a surprise, or perhaps you already knew this, either way, it’s good to be reminded of this.
Myth #2: Google all the physical fitness gurus
Let’s talk about our best friend and worst enemy when it comes to getting in shape – Google.
Now, you may have found us through Google, so it’s not all bad. However, there’s so much misinformation out there you are probably very confused. I don’t blame you.
For every expert on Google, there are thousands of pseudo-experts and downright hacks.
Good news: you’ve found one of the good folks : )

Information overload leads to inaction, and you’re far better off taking action on one approach rather than continually looking for the “perfect” system or method.

You’re getting closer and closer every single day to what you want. You can’t stop digging now because the good stuff is right in front of you.

Three Tips For To Boost Workout Motivation When It’s In the Dumps
It’s no secret that some of us enjoy working out more than others, but that doesn’t always make it easy, right?
Every single person I’ve ever met has gone through rough patches and times where they don’t want to workout and would rather stuff their face in a cheesecake for the rest of eternity.
We both know that’s not going to help you get what you want.
Instead, I want to give you three tips for when your motivation isn’t at an all-time high and what you can do instead
#1. Take it outside
It’s not always fun to drag yourself inside a glorified box to workout when it’s sunny and beautiful out. Luckily you don’t have to.
You can do something fun like go on a hike, play golf, go skiing, play paintball, ride your bike, play basketball, go kayaking, play volleyball, etc.
#2. Join a class
Maybe you don’t want to do one of the activities I mentioned above, but you don’t know where to go, or better yet you have no idea how to do it.
Not a problem, join a class or take lessons. Not only will you learn new skills but if you participate in a class or take lessons you’re likely to meet people with similar interests which can lead to workout buddies (which I mention next.)
… boot camp, martial arts, kickboxing, Zumba, surf lessons, tennis lessons, yoga, etc.
#3. Get accountability
Good workout buddies or trainers to keep you accountable are priceless.
They can keep you motivated when you don’t feel like doing anything, come up with new ideas, and prevent you from slacking off. There are a few ways you can get more accountability:
… Hire a personal trainer or coach, find someone with similar interests, connect with people you’ve met in classes, befriend other people doing their own thing in the gym.
There are countless ways to ramp up your motivation and find a form of physical activity that is going to help you reach your health and fitness goals but still allow you to have fun.
In most cases, we just need to explore more options.
